Teenage Cancer Gigs Update

A message from the Teenage Cancer Trust . . .

Thanks for bearing with us during this difficult time. Following the decision of the Royal Albert Hall to close due to the Coronavirus situation, we had no choice but to press pause on this week’s Teenage Cancer Trust gigs.

Since then we’ve been working hard to re-schedule the shows for another week during 2020 but unfortunately this will now not be possible.

We are now able to confirm the following arrangements.

Sadly, for the following shows, we are not able at this time to confirm a revised show date. We know this will be a huge disappointment and we would like to thank all of our artists for their continued support.

24 March: An Evening of Comedy Hosted by John Bishop and special guests
25 March: Stereophonics + Very Special Guest Paul Weller
26 March: Groove Armada
27 March: Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds

We will be providing a full refund of your ticket price – depending on your point of ticket purchase you will be contacted by either THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL, TICKETMASTER or GIGSANDTOURS very soon with refund details.

We are delighted to have secured new dates in 2021 for the following two shows. if you have already bought tickets for these shows they will be valid, but if you can’t make the new dates, your ticket agent will provide a full refund.

28 March: THE WHO – re-scheduled to  Saturday 20th March 2021
29 March: Nile Rodgers & CHIC – re-scheduled to Sunday 21st March 2021

We truly appreciate all of your support and look forward to welcoming you back to our world-famous gigs in the very near future.

But cancer doesn’t stop for anything. Many young people with cancer are particularly at risk from coronavirus, facing extreme isolation and uncertainty right now. So we’re doing everything we can to support young people throughout this crisis. If you feel able to support us, please donate today by clicking here.  And thank you.

Pete Townshend and his wife, Rachell Fuller, did, several years ago, some live dates using the web. I think this is the moment to comunicate and promote the message and new album by playing each US concert using the web. By this way, it wont generate a dangerous exposition to Coronavirus.

    Hi

As you mentioned, TCT and malignancy does not stop. Our NHS are doing their best, but TCT is not funded by our NHS. And Government has, yet, not said anything in response to the charities raising awareness about the massive hit TCT will be impacted – indeed banks are being ‘bank-rolled’ again, and so on.

I am very sure that TCT will be hit more than those who have ‘reserves’ – TCT appears not to have reserves that, for example, charities like Guide Dogs For The Blind, although I do not want to mention any charities in particular.

To raise money, therefore, is essential, irrespective if you play or not. What is important money is needed now by TCT (even the Marathon has been cancelled, which was a good source of raising money).

To conclude, I will give my ticket money (3 tickets) now, because I am sure I can save the money again in 12 months (but am very annoyed by the rip-off sales companies who will make money as usual). I was told the full money was not refundable, administration costs will be needed.

Bye for now, and hope you clapped your hands last night at 8pm, 😂.

Thanks for your rearranged dates, looking forward to seeing you again. Am registered disabled, with a kidney transplant, hip replacements, and blood clot in my leg – is very difficult to get tickets, had to pay Platinum Tickets – other, accessible tickets ran out in matter of days, and only tickets were so far back, I would have needed binoculars!
