“MAXIMUM ROCK” NEW WHO BIOGRAPHY FOR GERMAN SPEAKERS

Sprechen Sie Who? Well maybe it’s time you did, because Volume One of a new biography, “Maximum Rock” has recently been published in Germany.
 
The story of the craziest rock band of the world is written by German artist and author Christoph Geisselhart, a long-time die-hard fan himself. He got in touch with prominent friends, fans and foes of The Who. such as Irish Jack, Simon Phillips, Godfrey Townhsend, Shel Talmy, in order to recall the story of the greatest rock band ever how it really was.
 
The book is “an exciting piece of Rock’n Roll history, far-out narrated and peppered with many accurately investigated details and quotes”, according to a review in the German newspaper ‘Fraenkische Nachrichten’.
 
“The German Who bible”, says Irish Jack, who is involved in the project and wrote the epilogue for Volume 2.
 
The now released Volume 1 covers the time from Roger’s birth during the war in 1944 until ‘Who’s Next’in 1971 on 528 book pages. Volume 2 is supposed to be published by March/April 2009 and follows the story of The Who till now. With more than 1.000 pages, ‘Maximum Rock’is going to be the most detailed, most up-to-date publication on the Who.
