Legendary rock singer Roger Daltrey will be hitting the road in 2025 on a special solo tour packed with classic The Who songs, solo hits and his now-famous Q&A sessions, in which he opens up to the fans who have been with him throughout the decades.
In a run of unmissable intimate shows, Daltrey will perform acoustic and semi-acoustic takes on gems from the legendary band and delve into a solo back catalogue that dates back nearly 50 years.
Accompanied by his incredible nine-piece band, the acclaimed group consists of regular Who collaborator Simon Townshend (guitar/ vocals) alongside John Hogg (bass), Doug Boyle (guitar), Steve Weston (harmonica), Jody Linscott (percussion), Billy Nicholls (Backing vocals), Katie Jacoby (violin), Geraint Watkins (keyboard), and Scott Devours (drums).
Tickets go on sale Friday 15th November at 10am GMT for the exclusive shows at venues up and down the country. Book your tickets HERE.
While showcasing one of the most famous voices in rock, Daltrey will also give the audience the floor, as he takes on questions about his storied career.
Roger says: “Here we go again! After touring the US with this band of phenomenal musicians, I can’t wait to get back on the road in the UK with these shows. It’s a joy to be on stage performing – up close and personal for the audience, chatting with them and playing familiar songs in an unfamiliar way.”
Daltrey’s solo career began in 1973 with the single ‘Giving It All Away’ which reached number 5 in the UK charts. His most recent album was 2018’s acclaimed top10 hit As Long As I Have You.
With The Who, he was the voice of timeless classics like ‘Substitute’, ‘Who Are You’, ‘Won’t Get Fooled Again’ and ‘Baba O’Riley’.
In 2024, Daltrey bowed out as figurehead for the Teenage Cancer Trust after 24 years – during which time he raised around £34 million with star-studded concerts at the Royal Albert Hall. He remains Honorary Patron of the charity and an active campaigner on their behalf.
This year also saw Daltrey contributing a harmonica part for Mark Knopfler’s all-star Guitar Heroes take on his song ‘Going Home (Theme from Local Hero)’ – released in aid of the charity, which builds and operates specialised wards for teenagers with cancer. The recording featured everyone from Slash to Joan Armatrading to Roger’s Who counterpart and guitarist Pete Townshend.

Just went over to see The Who at the Royal Albert Hall at the end of March, now it’s off the Glasgow to see Roger …. really looking forward to it!
I’ve got a great story…I managed to get backstage at the Newcastle Odeon on November 5, 1973 after Pete had lost it, stormed offstage and left everyone wondering what was going to happen. I’d got a press ticket, so stood outside the dressing room, hearing Pete’s furious rant. Suddenly the door opens and Keith comes out, rattles his drumsticks on the fire extinguisher and says Rule by Fire. Then Roger emerges and says I just wanna be a singer in a rock n roll band! All true. Then they’ve agreed to go back on stage and ripped the place apart! I’m celebrating my 76th birthday watching Roger at Gateshead! It’ll be brilliant, I’m sure.
What better way to celebrate my last day of being 59 than going to the Bridgewater Hall on the 4th May to see Roger and hear tracks from my youth.
First saw The Who in 1981 at the Manchester Apollo when I was 15, again in 1982 at the Birmingham NEC and I’ve seen Roger a couple of times since.
If you’re taking requests, Twist and Shout would be mine. Fantastic live and The Who version will be getting played at my funeral.
When are yo coming to the Netherlands with your Alive and Kicking Tour, Roger.?
Roger, come down to the Netherlands, most likely the Hague with your Alive and Kicking Tour
Southend gig was amazing….definitely Alive, Kicking and Having Fun. He has an amazingly strong, clear voice…still up there with the best of them. The band was excellent too. Thank you. Come back soon.
We went to Roger Daltrey concert last night in Southend on sea and want to say it was absolutely fantastic !!
My husband and I saw Roger Daltry at the Cliffs pavilion and he was amazing x awesome
I never was keen on the Who but Roger’s voice is still fantastic even though he’s 81 years and his musical team who performed alongside him was also absolutely fantastic
A total legend saw him last night at the Bridgewater Hall Manchester, love the Who for decades and the solo show was fantastic by Roger such a mix of music. Rogers voice was totally amazing, loved the quick / funny stories between songs and credit to him for showing support to other acts with cover songs. Rock on Roger plenty in the tank so to speak. Would differently say catch the show if you can brilliant.
