I was at the Greensboro show last night and it was a remarkable performance. We all got to watch something very special, my hat is off to Pete and Roger as well as all the other people who helped bring this terrific show to their fans. It was 43 years ago on November 3rd that I saw them for the first time at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY it was another Rock Opera “Tommy”. Love the Music!
We really enjoyed the concert in Greensboro on 11/9/12. The tribute to Keith and John was pretty unbelievable. Keith singing his part in “Bell boy” seemed perfectly synchronized and in tune. Hearing 16,000 plus singing “Bell boy” with him was pretty awesome also. Kudos to the band, and thanks for all the memories. LONG LIVE ROCK!
Well, this was one for the ages! This show just jumped into my “Top Five – Ever” list, and I’ve seen a bunch of great ones! What a remarkable integration of classic Who songwriting and performance, historic archival footage of the Who’s early days, 20th century history, seamless transitions into the tribute segments honoring John Entwistle and Keith Moon, and a truly state-of-the-art multimedia backdrop!! Pete, Roger and company still have their chops – big time!! — Well done! JK
Seeing the Who for the first time was an AMAZING experience in Greensboro, they did not disappoint on any level except for not playing another 2-3 hours. Reading Pete’s book and it really helps one to understand how incredibly talented and crazy they all were back in the day. Long live rock!!!!!
