Yes, I was there at the Warehouse to see The Who. Best concert ever. Mybest friend and I were in 8th grade at Ursuline Academy, saved money& cut grass for ticket funds. We accompanied my much older sister and her beau, later to become husband. My BFF and I became “Whosaders”, Huge fans & I fell in love with Pete that night & My BFF with Keith. Next hook up was in Baton Rouge, also November but 1975. Beginning of a beautiful relationship. Wish ya’ll would play Down South again. I was lucky enough to see show in Dec at Madison Square Garden 2012. WhoDat!
So wonderful to see the brief footage and hear so much of this memorable concert which I attended with a couple of friends from Pensacola Catholic High who were beginning our own R & R band eventually named Lyman Slack. As providence would have it,(too long to explain) after the show I was able to get Pete Townshend’s autograph. and one of my friends who was our band’s drummer asked Keith Moon for a pair of his drumsticks which he recieved from Keith himself Pete was very graciousus and while he was signing his autograph he asked me “Did you like the show?…Were we a bit too loud? Are you going to see us in Biloxi? May Keith and John rest in peace. God bless you Pete and Roger from a forever fan who didn’t die before he got old.
