  The Who made their American début, opening a nine–day season at the 1,500–seat venue. The series of concerts, billed as ‘music in the fifth dimension’, was produced by legendary DJ Murray The K. The bill also included Wilson Pickett, Cream, the Blues Project, Jim & Jean, the Chicago Loop, Mandala, Jackie & the ‘K’ Girls (a fashion show staged by Murray The K’s wife) and the comedy troupe, the Hardly Worthit Players.
