  The Monterey Pop Festival was an important event for The Who, whose brief set which was concluded with an enthusiastic display of equipment destruction. D.A. Pennebaker’s film Monterey Pop appeared in 1968, and included ‘My Generation’, while The Who’s set finally appeared on the Monterey Pop Festival box set in 1992.
