Opera Holland Park is delighted to announce a very special evening with Pete Townshend, legendary guitarist, songwriter and founding member of The Who.

On Thursday 2 July at 8pm, Pete Townshend will appear on the stage at the Opera Holland Park theatre for an exclusive conversation with broadcaster and author Simon Mayo.

Across an extraordinary career spanning more than six decades, Townshend has helped shape the course of modern music, writing some of the most influential songs in rock history and redefining what popular music could be. This unique event offers audiences the opportunity to hear first-hand reflections on his life, work and legacy, from the explosion of British pop music in the 1960s through to the present day.

In conversation with Simon Mayo, Townshend will discuss the past, present and future of a remarkable artistic career, sharing stories from the centre of one of the most transformative periods in music history.
