March 30/April 1

The Who headline the Teenage Cancer Trust shows at the Royal Albert Hall in London, playing two nights and performing Tommy in its entirety. The concert is subsequently released on vinyl, CD and DVD.

April

Following their two nights at the Royal Albert Hall, The Who play five UK dates in Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow, Sheffield and Birmingham performing their The Who Hits 50! tour set.

April 22

Music From The Soundtrack of The Who Film Quadrophenia is re-released on 180gram heavyweight vinyl for Record Store Day 2017. The gatefold sleeve is an exact replica of the 1979 original and the two discs are in ‘parka’ green vinyl.

June 2

The Who Live at the Isle of Wight Festival 2004 is released on CD, DVD and Blu-ray.

July-August

The Who tour the US as part of their The Who 2017 tour.

September

Pete Townshend, Alfie Boe and Billy Idol plus a full orchestra conducted by Robert Ziegler tour Classic Quadrophenia at five venues across the US.

September/October

The Who play five dates in Brazil, Argentina and Chile, their first ever tour of South America.

October 13

The Maximum As & Bs box set is released – five CDs of all the A-sides, B-sides and EP tracks from the Brunswick, Reaction, Track and Polydor labels.

October/November

Roger Daltrey and members of The Who band play five dates in Florida and Canada performing ‘Who hits, Who rarities and solo hits”.
