A musical production of The Who’s Tommy opens to wild acclaim at the St James Theatre on Broadway in New York. Pete, as musical director, accepts numerous awards with laconic pride. It had originally opened at the La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego, CA the previous July, directed by Des McAnuff
