Today I was thinking about Mike and wondered how he was doing. So long since I had seen him. I remember him from before the crash and days that I used to hitch out to Stoke Mandeville Hospital to see him. (money was short) only to be caught one afternoon by Roger who read us the riot act for doing such a risky thing.
Then he got a flat at Notting Hill and I lived close by so saw him a lot then. He was always such good company and he even let me paint a mural on the wall at his Notting Hill flat.
I will always remember him with love and am so sad to hear that he has passed on.
Before the crash you would see him at Who gigs hanging off bits of the stage, always running about and so agile.
After the crash he was still immersed in the music and still had that rather wicked sense of humour.
When i drove for moon in 1970 the first person i meet in the org was mike shaw the first time i went to the office (TRACK)he was a lovley person, and in the late 70s when i moved to cornwall, i found him living a mile from me ,we became great friends and went to see the boys play, and would recive VIP treatmeat thanks to mike,i will miss him dearly….

Real awful news you guys have had recently .we are all thinking of you at this sad time…Bless The Who.
Everyone talks about Brian Epstein, Col Tom, Don Arden etc but to me Chris and Kit were leaders in their field and its so sad to lose Chris. RIP
