In March of this year, The Moody Blues Inaugural Cruise brought legendary rock bands to the high seas with a 5-night sailing aboard MSC Poesia. The Moody Blues will again set sail, this time aboard the newly-launched MSC Divina, to cruise from Miami to Nassau and Grand Turk from April 2 – 7, 2014.

The hot news is that Roger Daltrey of the Who will be the special guest in the already  star-studded line-up of rock and progressive rock legends, who will perform during the April 2, 2014 the 5-night sailing.

Roger will perform full-blown WHO sets with his full touring band – Frank Simes and Simon (brother of Pete) Townshend on guitars, Scott Devours on drums, Jamie Hunting on bass and Loren Gold on keyboard.

Joining Daltrey and The Moody Blues for the sailing are The Zombies, Carl Palmer (of ELP), Little River Band, The Orchestra (starring ELO), Starship, The Strawbs, Joe Williams of Toto, Glass Hammer, Sound of Contact featuring Simon Collins (Phil Collins’ son), Danny Vaughn performing the music of the Eagles, The Prog Rock Orchestra, Heavy Mellow, Mellow Yellow and Cheap Thrill.

Dubbed the “Return to the Isle of Wight”, the cruise next April will pay tribute to the 1970 “Isle of Wight” festival that featured The Who, The Moody Blues, Emerson, Lake and Palmer and many others.

Fares begin at $999 per person, double occupancy.

!?This should prove an interesting dynamic between “rich fans” and artists – who would ever have believed it though? No pun intended.

I’ve booked onto the cruise but how do I put my name down for the private cocktail party?

As long as you’re a subscribed fanclub member and one of ther first 75 to have booked, you’ll be automatically eligible and will be notified nearer the time.

I was a fan of the Who long before The Moody Blues. I had the honor of being part of the Moody Blues Cruise 2013 and I will be there in 2014. I can’t believe Roger will be joining us. Too bad Pete can’t make it. This cruise is going to be amazing. Don’t miss it.
