MODS AND QUADROPHENIA TAKE THE 5:15 TO BIRMINGHAM

The travelling UK theatre production of Quadrophenia, which opened in Plymouth a couple of weeks ago, has now reached Birmingham in the West Midlands.
 
It’s clear that Pete Townshend’s dazzling score was way ahead of its time, as the performances by the young cast and stunning band are receiving virtually unanimous praise. There’s a lively debate in the press, meanwhile, regarding the theatrical production.
 
“The press seem to be in four minds”, says the editor of www.thewho.com, “proving that Quadrophenia is as controversial, challenging and impactful as ever.”
